✈ Travel the World with a UCLan Tourism Degree

UCLan Tourism is part of the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Division (School of Management) at the University of Central Lancashire.

Our programmes include a range of BA's, MSc's and PhD's which incorporate business management education with social science perspectives. Our graduates hold a range of management positions in companies across the world as well as being employed in government departments, charities, and educational institutions.

THE Division is accredited by the Institute of Travel & Tourism (UK), and was ranked as a Top 3 UK University Department in the 2010/11 Times University Guide.

THE Division is home to the Transport & Tourism Institute, as well as the Institute for Dark Tourism Research (iDTR).
The BA (Hons) International Tourism Management degree at UCLan is ideal if you wish to develop and succeed as a professional travel and tourism manager.
Tourism is currently one of the world’s fastest growing industries and the course will equip you with a range of transferable professional and managerial skills, which can be used to meet the ever changing demands of this dynamic business.
Our degree focuses on employability, and you can take advantage of a paid internship on the sandwich route, which can provide opportunities to work in a supervisory capacity within the travel and tourism sector throughout the world. The course also offers optional international opportunities including field trips, overseas placements and work experience.
A number of our students spend their first year in Preston, the second year at our campus in Cyprus, an optional third year on placement abroad and their final year back in Preston.
